Designed for hands-on learning and built for long-term growth, this facility bridges education and industry while expanding the future of the LSC-PA campus.
PROJECT DETAILS
This 26,200-square-foot academic facility was designed to support the Process Technology and Instrumentation programs at Lamar State College – Port Arthur. With a focus on hands-on, skills-based education, the building includes flexible classrooms and advanced computer and technical labs that meet the needs of today’s students while anticipating future growth. Each lab is tailored to reflect real-world industrial environments, providing students with a practical, career-ready learning experience.
The Center plays a critical role in strengthening ties between the college and the surrounding industrial community, enhancing both instructional capabilities and workforce development opportunities. The flexible layout ensures the space can adapt to evolving curriculum and technology, making it a long-term asset for the college and its partners.
To further unify the campus, the project includes a connecting pedestrian corridor that links the new building with existing facilities. The expansion enhances both the function and the footprint of the LSC-PA campus, offering a modern educational environment that supports academic success and community collaboration.
