This facility brings together automation, innovation, and scalability—delivering a future-ready manufacturing hub that meets the evolving needs of the oil and gas industry.
PROJECT DETAILS
Our team provided comprehensive architectural and engineering design services for the development of a state-of-the-art automated pipe threading facility on a 40-acre site in Baytown’s Ameriport Industrial Park. The project brought together multiple complex functions—including research and development, manufacturing, and on-site storage—into a single, highly efficient campus tailored to meet the evolving demands of the oil and gas industry.
The facility consists of three primary buildings strategically designed to support the full lifecycle of pipe production. The manufacturing building houses advanced automation systems capable of threading a new, larger diameter of pipe, which was a key driver for the project. This capability allows the client to meet increasing market demands and align with current industry standards. Adjacent to the manufacturing space, the R&D building provides dedicated lab and testing environments for product development and innovation. A third structure offers ample space for storing both raw materials and completed threaded pipe, ensuring a streamlined production-to-distribution process.
Site planning accounted for the heavy-duty logistics required for industrial operations, including truck circulation, delivery zones, and utility infrastructure. The design also supports future expansion opportunities, allowing the facility to scale with the client’s business growth.
By integrating cutting-edge production capabilities with thoughtful site design and long-term flexibility, the facility strengthens the client’s position in the energy sector and enhances operational efficiency from concept to completion.
