With more than 27 years of experience, Paula has led healthcare projects for a wide range of clients—always making sure the results line up with each client’s bigger picture. She’s known for her collaborative style, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to keep things clear, aligned, and moving forward smoothly.

Paula is an expert in healthcare project delivery and brings deep know-how across every phase—from kickoff through commissioning. She’s skilled at coordinating with owners, users, and consultants, navigating regulatory requirements, and keeping budgets and timelines on track. Her thorough, hands-on approach consistently adds real value, which is why clients often think of her as a true partner and trusted part of their team.

As Johnston’s Director of Healthcare Architecture, Paula is focused on delivering great results while also mentoring the next generation—passing on her knowledge around coordination, project value, and process excellence.

She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
