Johnston is providing programming and schematic design services for the renovation of a portion of Level 1 of Covenant Children’s Hospital.
PROJECT DETAILS
The intent of this project is to renovate and repurpose a wing of the south tower into an inpatient behavioral health unit, providing inpatient care for children in crisis. This new unit will integrate with the outpatient behavioral health unit in the other wing of 1 South. The renovation will be carried out in phases to minimize disruption to the floor’s current operations.
The programming will concentrate on the feasibility of using this space to provide 6 beds, required support spaces and renovation to the adjacent exterior courtyard. This will require review of the operational plan and the physical infrastructure of the area.
