Project Noah transforms workplace culture into a multisensory experience—where every space celebrates the joy of food and the creativity it inspires.
PROJECT DETAILS
Project Noah was developed in collaboration with PepsiCo Global to bring to life the concept of Better Food Culture—an initiative centered around the idea that food spaces should evoke a sense of joy, creativity, and community. Johnston was selected to lead this transformative effort, tasked with expressing the emotional and cultural values of this philosophy through impactful spatial and environmental design.
Our scope of work included comprehensive space planning, thoughtful furniture and finish selection, and the integration of custom branding and environmental graphics. These elements were all carefully curated to reflect the core theme: “the joy that comes with every sip and bite.”
In addition to the physical transformation of the lab space, Johnston LLC developed a detailed “play book”—a visual and strategic design guide that captures the essence of Better Food Culture. This play book serves as a roadmap for future research and development spaces within PepsiCo, ensuring that new environments are consistent in vision, flexible in function, and centered around a food-first experience.
The result is a vibrant, unified design language that can be scaled across projects, reinforcing a culture of innovation, connection, and the universal delight of food.
