A connected campus experience that brings together new learning spaces and existing resources to better serve a growing student population.

PROJECT DETAILS

Located on 22 acres in Houston’s highly populated Westchase District, the expansion of the Houston Community College campus was designed to accommodate a growing student body and enhance the overall campus experience. The project includes a new three-story classroom building and an integrated parking structure, both of which were carefully planned to connect with the existing facilities and preserve the pedestrian-friendly nature of the campus.

The new classroom building supports a student capacity of up to 400 and includes flexible learning spaces equipped with modern instructional technology. These classrooms were designed to meet the evolving needs of academic programs and provide room for future growth. The adjacent parking structure was strategically placed to reduce vehicular congestion and streamline access for both students and staff.

A central pedestrian plaza and new campus walkways link the new facilities with the existing HCC Westchase campus, creating a cohesive environment that encourages movement and collaboration. Students now enjoy seamless access to shared amenities such as a library, auditorium, food court, science labs, and computer classrooms. The design prioritizes student experience, safety, and connectivity while supporting the college’s long-term mission to offer accessible, high-quality education in one of Houston’s fastest-growing areas
