The MEP infrastructure in the accelerator room, control station, and equipment alcove were also upgraded based on the additional heat load anticipated from the equipment. Lighting and specific interior finishes inside the vault were brought up to Houston Methodist standards as part of this renovation.

Johnston provided architectural services for the renovation of the existing Linear Accelerator Room 124, located on Level 1 of the Cancer Center, and replaced the existing Linear Accelerator with a new Varian TrueBeam radiotherapy system.
